EUSPA organises a new EGNSS Training for drone operators at the Galileo Reference Centre in Noordwijk. Join us on 2nd April 2025.
EUSPA has been supporting drone operators and identifying user needs in their operations for a long time. Therefore, based on feedback from drone operators and representatives of EU Member states, and to complement the video developed, an EGNSS hands-on Training for drone operators has been prepared. The objective is to be as practical as possible. So, the training shows in an operational way and with demonstrations of how to activate EGNOS in your drone and what added values for drone operators the use of EGNOS and Galileo differentiators, High Accuracy Service or OSNMA authentication has.
Organised during events such as Amsterdam Drone Week or Airspace Integration Week in Madrid, a dozen drone operators already followed this training. It will continue to be offered in the framework of major industry events or hosted in an EU Member State following the interest.
The next opportunity to participate in the EGNSS training will be on 2 April 2025 at the Galileo Reference Center in Noordwijk, where training will be delivered by experts on EGNOS, Galileo and other EUSPA activities in the field of drones will be presented. You have the unique possibility to bring your drones, that are EGNOS capable as per manufacturer specifications and receive consultation for EGNOS activation.

Agenda:
The workshop will cover two key aspects:
- EGNOS for Drones – A technical session on enabling EGNOS for drones, including a live demonstration.
- Galileo Differentiators – A detailed overview of Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) and Open Service Navigation Message Authentication (OSNMA) and their benefits for drone navigation and security.
This event is particularly relevant for policymakers, industry professionals, and researchers working in aviation, drone technology, and satellite navigation.
