- 17:00

On January 23rd, 2025, the Sectorplan staff under the theme ‘Spatial Challenges’ is organizing its first National Theme Day. We will gather in a stimulating environment to discuss how to move forward the main objectives of the sector plan Earth & Environmental Sciences within the theme ‘Spatial Challenges’. Discussions will be dedicated primarily to enhancing co-creation and collaboration within and outside academia to address societal challenges. Early-career researchers and PhD candidates will delight the audience by presenting their research in a poster session.

This event is interesting for professionals involved in research and the practical application of Earth & Environmental Sciences. It is particularly relevant for researchers, governmental organisations, startups, and potentially master’s and PhD students. Participants will engage in an interactive discussion exploring the potential and challenges of projects addressing environmental issues that require spatial analysis or strategic planning. Examples include region-specific flooding, resource allocation (e.g., water) for targeted projects, and similar topics. Key themes encompass spatial planning, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing.

There is a maximum amount of spots, so be sure to register in time if you are keen to join this session.
