The ESA Technology Broker programme offers facilitating connections between space technology and terrestrial industries. During ZIE 2024, Corneel Bogaert, ESA Technology Broker NL Programme Manager, hosted a workshop called ‘Pioneering technology solutions applied in everyday life’. “The presentation focuses on why space technology is valuable and how it can be applied in other industries. We showcased examples and invited the audience to submit their own challenges for us to address using space technology.”
Corneel provided detailed insights into NL Space Campus’s objectives at ZIE 2024,”Our goal is to inform the industry about technology cross overs, especially in sectors not directly related to space, like high tech.” He further explained, “We’re here to talk to companies, understand their challenges, and see if there are solutions in the space industry that can address them.”
Corneel expressed optimism about the event’s importance, stating, “It’s a chance to raise awareness about the potential of space technology for various industries and to gather input from companies on their technological needs.”
